Мерел ван дер Кноп / Merel van der Knoop

Originally from The Netherlands, Merel moved to London, UK, in 2006 to continue her studies at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After completing her two Masters, Merel embarked on a busy career as a freelance pianist and vocal coach both within the UK and abroad. Her work also involved acting as Interim Head of (Junior) Music at two schools in Wimbledon as well as the occasional Supporting Artist/Actress job for film & tv such as The Crown.

Merel has always been keen to use her musical skills to help others and in light of this she has over the years organised many music charity events, memorial concerts and concerts in care homes.

Since 2022 Merel also runs online choirs for chronically ill people (adults and children) in the UK and abroad. The kids choir recorded a song in Ukrainian to show their support to the children from Ukraine!
